FIELD/PARK MAINTENANCE

JOB SUMMARY : 

Performs a variety of tasks at the park including unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled grounds, landscaping, janitorial, and general maintenance, repair, and construction work functions in the upkeep and maintenance of playing field areas, axe throwing lanes, and gun shed. Able to drive a tractor/cutting grass, weed eating. Operates and maintains tools and equipment used in the upkeep and maintenance of park.

QUALITIES: Reliable, able to work independently and with others. Landscaping, construction, janitorial, or maintenance experience is preferred. Must be able to drive a Tractor.

HOURS: 10-15 hours/week – we can be flexible and offer varying work dates/hours during Monday-Friday and some weekends. (Note – all field maintenance must be completed during Monday-Friday times. Other tasks can be done on the weekend if necessary.

PAY: $16-$18/hour based on experience

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be able to demonstrate safe use of equipment, hand tools & power tools.

• Care for and maintain equipment & tools.

• Basic Construction/Carpentry work to include but not limited to replacing wood for axe throwing lanes.

• Drive tractor, maintaining groomed fields by mowing & weedeating as necessary.

• Performs basic maintenance around park such as fixing nets, poles and other barriers on the fields for safety.

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial functions in the upkeep of assigned areas, including, but not limited to, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, refilling soap and paper dispensers, emptying and cleaning trash cans, sweeping, raking and repairing broken items.

• Cleans and disinfects restrooms; refills soap and paper dispensers.

• Performs related duties similar to the above in scope and function as required.
